"I am the true vine" - this was the last of Jesus' "I am" sayings to his disciples. These words teach some of the vital principles of effective discipleship. What is the purpose for which Jesus chose us? How are we to be fruitful and useful in his service? What dangers are there, and what promises are there? As well as encouragements to belong to Christ, this message includes a vital challenge - do we have spiritual life at all?
